A little-known brand from Kent, Kentucky, is expanding to other parts of the country, starting with a new store in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
The brand, known as Kent Pure, has been around for nearly 10 years and is now owned by a group of four people.
They are: Brian A. Lee, who owns the company and has been selling Kent water for years; his wife, Stephanie Lee; his son, Ryan; and his brother, Adam Lee.
Brian Lee is the CEO of Kent Pure.
His wife Stephanie Lee, a former corporate executive, and Ryan Lee, the son of the former CEO, are the brand’s owners.
Ryan Lee said he first learned of the new company when his mom started shopping at a Kempt outlet.
Kempt is an upscale, full-service restaurant chain that serves up some of the best Southern food in the country.
It was founded by the Lee family in 1987.
The Lee family started Kempt in the late 1970s and has since expanded to locations in the Houston area, Dallas, New Orleans and Atlanta.
“We wanted to do something different.
And we felt that this is something that really resonated with our community and people in Texas and we wanted to bring a new flavor to our product,” Ryan Lee told FoxNews.com.
The new Kempt will have a large taproom in Dallas.
The store is expected to open by the end of the year, with plans to open at least two more locations in Dallas-area malls.
The company also is expanding in other states, including New York, Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
It has plans to expand to more states over the next two years.
“I can’t tell you how excited we are,” Ryan said.
“It’s a lot of fun.
It’s a really exciting time for us.”
Ryan Lee said the brand is going to be the focus of a lot more Kempt ads over the coming months.
“When we first started out, the ad campaign was to just kind of introduce a brand to people and get them excited about it,” he said.
The brand has been a huge hit with customers and has even attracted celebrities like comedian John Mulaney.
