The former White House communications director is set to join MSNBC’s “All In” show on Friday.
Dana Bash is a former press secretary for President Donald Trump and the former press director for President Joe Biden.
She also served as communications director to Vice President Mike Pence.
On Thursday, Trump tweeted, “CNN is Fake News and Fake News Media, as the name of the show would have it.”
“CNN just ran another false story about the president.
Fake News CNN.
Fake Media CNN,” he tweeted.
The tweet has since been deleted.
CNN did not immediately respond to The Associated Press’ request for comment.
On Friday, Bash will be a co-host of “All in” and a guest on “Politics Nation.”
She previously served as a press secretary to Vice Presidents Mike Pence and Joe Biden and as a senior adviser to Republican House Speaker Paul Ryan.
The show is produced by the conservative American Center for Law and Justice, which has endorsed a number of Democratic candidates in recent elections.
Bash is also a contributing columnist for The New York Times.
